Reinforced
Commercial Footings

Deep strip & rebar cages Commercial site Recently completed

The brief

Deep reinforced strip footings for a new steel-frame commercial building. We dug the trenches to engineer's spec, set out and tied full rebar cages on plastic spacers and cast holding-down bolt assemblies for the steel stanchions before pouring concrete to underside-of-DPC level.

Bolt positions were templated off plywood jigs to keep tolerances tight for the steel erector — every base set ready to take the frame straight off the wagon.
