Indian Sandstone Patio
& Astroturf Lawn

Full garden transformation Private rear garden Summer build

The brief

A tired back garden with a worn patio, mossy lawn and uneven levels — transformed into a low-maintenance outdoor space the family could actually use. We stripped out the old patio and turf, set fresh levels and falls away from the bungalow, and rebuilt the garden in two zones: a sandstone patio off the bi-fold doors and a clean astroturf lawn beyond it.

Timber edging shutters out both zones, a compacted MOT sub-base sits over weed- suppressant membrane, and the patio is laid in random-coursed Indian sandstone on a full mortar bed with jointing brushed in. The astroturf bay is screeded with green sharp sand ready for the carpet — flush with the new patio edge.
